Boardwalk Helps The Blind See The Magic Of Christmas
The Christmas season is here and what better way for Boardwalk Business Ventures, the biggest direct-selling company in the country, to share the spirit of Christmas than spending some quality time with the Parent Advocates for Visually Impaired Children (PAVIC) and bringing some smiles to the kids.
It was a humbling experience as Boardwalk; through its charitable arm, the Boardwalk Charity Foundation Inc. (BCFI), managed to give the visually-impaired children from Resources of the Blind a day they will never forget.
Spearheaded by PAVIC, the event was filled with kids who, despite their disabilities, still manage to treasure the simple joys of the Christmas season and, with the help of Boardwalk, continue to be strong in their resolve of appreciating the goodness of life.
These kids proved that their condition hasn't detered them from enjoying the rest of their lives and going after their dreams.
Some even showed off their talents and prepared special presentations for the crowd, from students of the Ramon Magsaysay High School and their soulful song number to students of the Calumpit Central School and their delightful puppet show.
Both the kids and their parents engaged in some fun and games in front of the guests who were more than happy to be there to experience such a joyous occasion and see the magic of Christmas unfold through the eyes of the visually-impaired children.
Representatives from Boardwalk, led by Sales Division Head Mariton Ereneta, also joined in on the fun as they played games with the children and even won some prizes with them before giving away BW bags for all the kids who were there.
It was a fun and joyous event as the spirit of Christmas was more than alive for PAVIC, the children, and the Boardwalk Charity Foundation, Inc.
BCFI is a charity foundation that provides comprehensive programs and support services to the poor and the disadvantaged.
